I have added this son because in the will of Edward's brother John made in 1801, he speaks of his nephew John, brother to Edward Timms, farmer of Sutton. That Edward can only be Edward, the son of Edward. So, either there were two sons named John or the first one did not die as recorded. I am opting for the first choice.
