Here is his will:
In the name of God Amen this one and thirtieth day of August one thousand seven hundred and twenty eight I. Tidnam Mason Yeoman of the parish of Cherrington in the County of Warwick being of sound and perfect memory and understanding [praised be Almighty God therefore] I do make this my last will and testament in manner and form following First I commend my soul into the hands of Almighty God my creator hoping to be saved by the meritts and intercession of Jesus Christ my Redeemer my body to the Earth to be buried in a decent and Christian like manner by my Executor hereinafter named and as for that worldly Estate and goods with which it hath pleased Almighty God to bless me I give and devise the same as follows Item I give to my brother William Mason one great coffer and one chair table formerly belonging to my uncle Richard Tidnam deceased one quarter barrel which formely my fathers and one little kettle about two gallons one little bollmottle(?)and two of m least pewter dishes Item to my two nephew John Gibbs and Francis Gibbs I give the sum of two shillings and six pence apiece Item I give and devise to my brother Thomas Mason of Cherrington aforesaid All that house and homestall with the Appurtenances situate and being in Cherrington aforesaid and where I do not inhabit and dwell and also that my half yard land of arable meadow and pasture ground with the appurtenances lying and being with the ? of Cherrington aforesaid to hold to him that the said Thomas Mason my Brother his heirs and Assigns for ever to the only use and bebehouse(?) of him the said Thomas Mason his heirs and Assigns for ever Item I give to my brother William Mason my grey coat and my woolen and Harris(?) wastcoat All the rest of my wearing Apparel money goods stock ? ? and personal estate whatsoever after my just debts funeral expenses and the ? above mentioned shall be fully satisfied and discharged I give and devise to my brother Thomas Mason his heirs and Assigns forever whom I make the sole executor of this my will and I do hereby revoke and make void all former wills by me heretofore made either by word or writing satisfying and confirming this to be my last will and testament In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the day and year above written

Signed sealed published and declared by the said Tidnam Mason to be his last will and testament in the presence of us who at the request [and in the presence of the testator] have hereunto scribed our names as witnesses

Mary Robinson - age 17 - Spinster - residence Ballydesland - daughter of John Robinson, farmer - married George Heasley - age 20 - Joiner - residence Corgary - son of George Heasley, farmer - on 19th August 1962 in Warrenpoint Presbyterian Church - witnesses James Wright & John Robinson.

Helen also found them in the 1901 census for Ballydesland Townland as follows:
(1) George Heasley - farmer - age 60
(2) Wife Mary Heasley - age 55
(3) Daughter Mary Heasley - age 21
(4) Son James Henry Heasley - age 19
(5) Son Wm Joseph Heasley - age 14
(6) Daughter Eliza Jane Heasley - age 12
I have used this as the basis for filling in the children.

Her sister who was living with them in 1901 was Elizabeth Jane Robinson. She was a widow so her maiden name may well not have been Robinson. Of course, it may have been a brother's wife.

In the 1851 census, he is said to have been born in Croydon and not Wallington.

In 1851 he was in Horsham, Sussex with the wife and the four older children as found on the family page. He was a farmer with 117 acres. I wonder where the money came from?

From1871 on he was described as being from Salehurst, Kent. The question is why?

By 1881, he had a new wife, Lucy who was much younger. I expect that his first wife died.
